As one of our next annual world travel and group pilgrimage opportunities, we are organizing an initial scouting mission in Japan.
This is a 3-pronged program with the following purpose:
1. Cinematic Docuseries
Filming a docuseries to learn about, preserve, and disseminate the rich traditional teachings that are the cultural heritage of Japan.
Examples of the teaching we will explore, one episode at a time are: Ikigai, Moai, Godai, Kintsugi, and many more.
2. Scouting “Akiyas”
Akiyas are abandoned countryside properties and traditional retreat homes currently being offered for free or very cheap due to population decline in the rural areas of Japan.
Japan exists along the same latitudinal lines as our Colorado center, on the other side of the world.
This intuitive visionary scouting mission is intended as a feasibility assessment for the possibility of opening a new land-based InterWorld Center in Japan.
We are open to community collaborators and co-investors in this vision.
It is worth noting that, in the Mediterranean, the Italian island of Sardinia is offering similar opportunities as Japan, with an emphasis on collaborations with creatives and community organizations. It is also in the same latitudinal region, and about equal thirds around the world from Japan and Colorado.
3. Group Pilgrimage / Destination Retreat
We are exploring the possibility of bringing a group on this trip for a transformative and immersive cultural exchange as well as an educational experience with exposure to the natural landscapes and traditional cultures of Japan, in addition to interspiritual holistic wellness practices. We have partners and affiliates in Asian countries like Thailand and Indonesia and may want to make multiple stops or bring them on board for this retreat and pilgrimage.

then we must learn to BE it,

A Life of Transformation & Purpose
I’ve always felt a deep calling to create change in the world. Maybe you have too.
I was raised in a family of dissidents—my mother risked everything to smuggle banned books and fight for truth in the post-Stalin Soviet era. From an early age, I understood that transformation isn’t just personal—it’s collective. But as I grew, I realized that I couldn’t change the world without first changing myself.
That realization set me on a lifelong journey.
As a child, I was drawn to philosophy, meditation, and spiritual modalities. Then, as a teenager, I had a spontaneous, life-changing mystical experience—one that shattered my old perceptions and opened me to something far greater. That moment led me on an intense path of exploration, traveling across the world to study wisdom traditions, energy work, and holistic healing practices from both ancient and modern perspectives.
